Inspired by its academic surroundings, Alam Sari ‘Neighbourhood of Academia’ is a 432-acre freehold township located in Bangi, Selangor. UKM, UNITEN, UPM, GMI and Malaysia France Institute and Malaysian Nuclear Agency are just some of the higher learning institutions and research centres within the vicinity. Launched in November 2007, the township has received good response from the public.
Alam Sari is designed on four principles. The first is to create a green and well-landscaped township through use of lush clusters of trees at its intersection islands and road medians and using plants as natural security by way of thick planting and tree screening. Treelined boulevard and streets, gardens, ponds and a distinct entrance statement also add to the lush greenery planned for the township.
Secondly, residents’ security is always primary in design concept with controlled entries into each precinct, dedicated walkways, cluster-arranged homes that facilitate neighbourhood watch, traffic-calming and different road hierarchy and cul-de-sac roads.
The third principle is the amenities provided to residents of the township. Upon full completion, residents will enjoy the parks, gardens, sporting facilities and retail outlets in designated spaces within the township. Apart from that, schools, a mosque, public hall and neighbourhood center will also be available.
The last of the four principle of design in Alam Sari is of course, the product. In Alam Sari, homes are designed in clusters or short rows and built in harmony with the landform. These homes are also designed to be functional and practical, and offer effective protection from the elements.
The first two phases of double-storey terrace houses were priced at RM285,110 and the double-storey cluster homes priced from RM538,500. We are confident that Alam Sari will increase its value in time due to the uniqueness of the township and its freehold title. With the lush landscaping along with the influence of academia on its periphery, Alam Sari is a natural sanctuary for inspiration.
The estimated GDV for Alam Sari is RM1.3 billion.
